This time the tooth fairy gave him 5 $1 bills, a new pirate toothbrush and a note sprinkled with fairy dust. He was thrilled.

Another missing tooth
Spencer lost his second tooth yesterday, his bottom left. He thinks it fell out when he was getting on the bus to come home from school. We had to draw another picture of his tooth for the tooth fairy and he wrote her a note telling her he lost it. He sounded it out all himself too. He wrote her name on the envelope before he put it under his pillow........."tooth fere". I guess that IS how it sounds. ha

Fun in the snow
We took the kids into Oklahoma City today to play in the snow....ok so it was fake snow. They had a big pile of it for the kids to throw snowballs and build snowmen. It was too slushy for snowmen and not great packing snow as the temperature was above freezing.
They did have a huge hill for sliding on inner tubes. I didn't think the little ones would go down alone and I wasn't allowed to take them on a sled with me, so Spencer was the one who got to go.
I wasn't sure he would go either as it was a pretty big hill, he LOVED it. My neice Rebecca and him went down the hill for an hour and a half. We stood at the bottom and cheered them on. Bob got to carry his innertube up the stairs a million times.
Afterwards we stopped at some MORE Christmas lights and they kids were equally excited as they were the other night.
We didn't walk around this time as everyone was SOAKED from playing in the snow. One of these days I will have to take them home to Canada in the winter for some real snow.

Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We are in Oklahoma visiting Bob's parents. Bob's brother James, his wife Queta and their daughter Rebecca also came to visit.
We got to meet Bob's aunt Lynn while we were here too. She came from New Mexico for a visit. We are getting used to the cold weather and loving it.

We all went walking in Red Rock Canyon Park and then out to see some awesome Christmas lights. We drove through, then parked and walked around the park to look at them. I thought the kids were just going to burst they were so excited.
Here is a little video of Spencer singing his Thanksgiving songs he learned in school.

Lighting of the Doves
We went to the "Lighting of the Doves" last night. A local celebration where Santa arrives by boat and reads a story. They have crafts and stages with entertainment too. We of course saw Santa's feet while he read the story. The kids were unphased though and had a great time. They loved the fireworks display after the lights were lit. We also couldn't tear them away from the craft station where you make necklaces out of beads. Frosty was roaming around too, but this year it was Caden that was scared of him. He gave him a hug because Mommy went with him and held his hand. Last year Peyton wanted nothing to do with him.

Thank you Nana
The kids got new pjs from our good friend Sharyon aka Nana. Peyton got Cinderella, Sydney got The Little Mermaid, Caden got Thomas the Train and Spencer got cars. They were absolutely thrilled. The littles ones couldn't believe their pjs matched their bedsheets. Caden is still wearing his and its afternoon, he won't take them off.
THANK YOU NANA, we love you.

Big feast
I went to Spencer's Thanksgiving "feast" at school today. He chose to be a pilgrim. The kids all sang two songs about turkeys and I don't have any sound on my camera!!!! I am hoping to get a good digital video camera at day after Thanksgiving sales. It was nice to be able to concentrate on just Spencer as the little ones were in daycare.
Bob was pulling in to the daycare parking lot Tuesday and Sydney threw up all over the back of his truck. Needless to say he just turned around and came home. I was already at work so he was on his own. Sydney keeps telling me she "puked in Daddy's car". Bob taught her that, isn't it sweet...NOT. He was home with them while I worked so I was able to drop them off at the daycare on a day that I was not working.
I was going to go for Spencer's little Thanksgiving party and then come home ALL ALONE!!!His teacher had told them that they could leave after the party if they wanted. (Is she NUTS, she obviosly had no kids and lots of time to be ALONE!!!)I tried to convince Spencer that he had to stay, but he looked at me with those sad eyes and was just pathetic. Plans changed and I decided I would spend the whole afternoon with just Spencer. He never gets Mommy all to himself. We went to the dollar store and he picked out a toy he wanted, we shopped at couple nearby stores looking for a comforter for his bed with a space theme. (He decided that he wanted this theme and I can't find one!!!) Then we went to Bennigams for a yummy dessert. We finished our afternoon by going to the movies and saw Ratatouille. We had a wonderful day and he thoroughly enjoyed having Mommy all to himself. Almost as much as Mommy enjoyed having him all to herself. Now I just need to stop feeling guilty that we did this and left the little ones at the daycare!!!

Market Street
We took the kids to a tree lighting event near us last night. They had a band and lit their huge Christmas tree and had a small fireworks display afterwards. The kids enjoyed it. The weather here is cold (relatively speaking) and I had to break out the winter coats. They had "snow flurries" for the kids to play in. It was machines that shot out small bubbles.
Who are they trying to fool - I am Canadian. lol

Children's festival
We took the kids to the Children's festival this weekend. We have never been before and it was GREAT. We got free tickets from our summer reading program at the library so that made it even nicer.
They had games and crafts and shows - you name it.
We could hardly carry all the crafts the kids made, they LOVE crafts.
We will definitley be there again next year.
Bob's brother and his family met us there too.
