Vacation Bible School

ALL of the kids went to vacation bible school last week from 9am to noon. Caden was not sure what to think and I had to stay for a little while each day to make him more comfortable. Sydney and Peyton kept waving "bye-bye" at me and I had to keep telling them I was not leaving yet....my little social butterflies. lol
I didn't know what to do with myself with NO kids. I cleaned the car, grocery shopped, cleaned the house and then came to my senses. My last day, yesterday I rented a movie and sat on the couch and painted my toenails and watched tv. It was so nice to be alone in the house!!!!!
The kids really enjoyed it and made lots of cute crafts. Sydney and Spencer would dance and sing right along with the songs, it was so cute. Peyton would sway and Caden would have nothing to do with dancing.
They had a splash party yesterday and gave us lunch and then had inflatable water slides outside. The kids has a blast!!!!!!

The backyardigans

We went to Chick Fil A again this evening to see Uniqua and Tryrone from the "Backyardigans". The kids really like the cartoon so we couldn't miss it. It was packed, but that did not stop Sydney from hugging them a million times and holding on to them constantly.

Caden liked them from a distance and would not hug them. Spencer went to give a high five to Uniqua and smacked the lady that was helping REALLY hard in the face when he reached back. He felt so bad he almost cried and she gave him a hug and told him it was alright. Peyton just ran around with a huge smile on her face the whole time.

Oklahoma

We just got back from visiting Bob's parents in Oklahoma. We left Tuesday and got home last night (Sunday), we all had a blast!!!! I think Grandma and Grandpa were really glad to see the kids too.

They live on a farm so we got to help feed the goats and chickens. The goats even had babies while we were there and the kids got to hold and pet them. Of course Mommy had to get in on that action too.

They took us to see the sites and even took us on a boat ride. The kids had never been on one before and thoroughly enjoyed it.

They even got to try their hands at fishing for the first time - no fish though :(

We all slept together in a giant bed we made with two queens and a fold out bed all pushed together in the hotel. Spencer wants to know why we can't do that at home all the time.

Prince and Princess Charming Party

We took the kids to Chick-Fil-A last night after swim class for a free princess/prince tea party, they loved it. The girls got to put on make up and wear tiaras and they boys got crowns and tattoos. They got to sit at fancy decorated tables with center pieces and drink "tea"which was really lemonaid out of a real china cup and saucer. Caden wanted nothing to do with sitting for the party, but loved his pirate tattoo. They got to play bingo too and Sydney actually won. They all got little prizes too.
The girls just thought they were beautiful with their make up.

Slip and slide

The kids are having a ball with their latest toy. The dog liked it almost as much and layed in the cool water too. They don't quite have the knack of running and sliding down it, but that is not stopping them from enjoying it. Bob helped them by throwing them down the slide part into the water. They enjoyed it and were telling him it was their turn next. Spencer was helping me make the video and he chose the song, he LOVES it. lol

Sleepy little Sydney

Poor little Sydney could not keep her eyes open at supper tonight. We swam all afternoon and it just wore her out. It was just too cute to watch her fight the sleepiness and lose. I took her from the table and layed her on the couch and she was sound asleep before her head hit the pillow.
