My toothless baby

Poor little Sydney got pushed at Jumpin' Jaks on Memorial day. (Its an indoor play place.) She fell and broke her top right center tooth. I am devastated!! She however, only cried for a couple of minutes and is fine now. She has a big chunk of her tooth missing. We have an appointment with a pediatric dentist on Monday to see what needs to be done if anything. We have been trying to get approval from the insurance company to see the dentist and finally got it. They assure me that's its ok to be waiting a week since her tooth is not discolored. On the bright side, the kids really enjoyed themselves.

I gave up trying to get a picture of her looking at the camera smiling. Kids know when you want them to do something and just won't cooperate. She kept turning her head as I clicked the camera.

New Olympic sport........boy tossing

We spent the day in the pool again yesterday. We just LOVE the pool. I am paying for it today though, with a bad sunburn despite applying the kids 45 sunblock.
Spencer just loves to be thrown in the air over and over. He has absolutely no fear of the water. I was even throwing him in head first so he would get used the feeling of diving. His head would barely come out of the water when he was done and he was saying "again!!!"

New bathing suits

Our good friend Sharyon bought the kids new patriotic bathing suits for the 4th of July. We tried them out early last night. They are so cute in them. Poor little Caden started crying and kept grabbing his old suit to go swimming when I put his on. He didn't get that he could still go swimming in his NEW suit.
They are so cute in their matching outfits.
Thanks Nana, we love you!!!!

Wonderful weekend

I was cancelled both days at work this weekend. We made the best of it and had a ball. I took Spencer for his t-ball game saturday morning and then we can home and all of us went swimming. Then Saturday afternoon we all went to a birthday party for one of Spencer's pre-school friends at Chuck E Cheese. We all enjoyed that and the kids were great. That is until............they decided to get into the tunnel that runs along the ceiling. Peyton would NOT come out. She just looked and you and said "NOOO!" and laughed and went the other way. I thought I was going to have to crawl all through the tunnels chasing her. All the other kids started to whine as I wouldn't let them back in the tunnels in case they decided Peyton's game was fun.

Then Sunday we spent the entire day in the pool. Bob's brother and his family came over and had a bbq with us. Then we sat out by the fire in the evening.

It was just so nice to spend some time with my family all together!!!! Usually I am working when Bob is off on the weekends - we just pass each other going to work.

Swimming

We took the kids in the pool tonight for an hour or so. They had a ball. Peyton is the dare-devil that wants to swim and play. Caden still wants to stay on the stairs and splash everyone. Sydney wants to jump in like her big brother Spencer. Spencer is swimming like a fish and the babies just think its hilarious when he jumps in the water.
I am trying to teach the babies to be a little more self sufficient in the pool, but it will take some time. I had the girls kicking their legs and laying down with their heads in the water. We put our faces in the water and blew bubbles too. Caden wanted no part of that as it would have interfered with his splashing everyone.
They do not mind their water wings anymore. They realize that they can't get in the water without them.

Wrath of destruction

Last night Bob was upstairs vacuuming up the broken glass from the lightbulb that they broke when they threw their lamp on the floor. He figured he would do the gameroom while he was there and just let the kids play............big mistake!!!
They emptied their dresser and threw ALL the clothes all over the room. They just thought they were hilarious too!!!
This morning I go in to get them up and they have taken the lamp shade from above lamp and destroyed it. I had personalized it too, with figures from their wallpaper border and paint. There is little pieces of plastic from it EVERYWHERE. Did they just pass it from crib to crib to see who could do a better job? They had also broken two drawers from their dresser AGAIN!! They were in pieces on the floor with all the clothes scattered around once more!
Did I forget to mention that Caden tore another hole in his crib tent?
They are napping now........or are they plotting their next wrath of destruction?

Preschool assembly

Spencer had his end of the year preschool assembly tonight. It was amazing!!! They had the different classes get on stage and sing a few songs. He was singing and doing the actions for the songs and was so cute!!!!!
I can't believe that was my baby on stage. Not nervous or shy in the least. I am so proud of him!!!!!!
I know the picture is not great, but it was dark.
He is going to miss his Mother's day out program so much this summer, his last day is next Tuesday. He just loves his teacher Miss. Megan.

Thank you Jan and Steve

Our good friends Jan and Steve sent Peyton (and the other kids) some puzzles. They were to help occupy Peyton with her broken leg. We didn't get them until after her cast was off thanks to the mail system. lol
They love them!! Peyton will not let anyone touch the alphabet puzzle and yells "no, my a" or whatever letter the guilty offender has dared to touch.
Thank you so much Jan and Steve, we love you!!

Happy Mother's Day

Had a very lazy Mother's Day. I was planning on spending the day in the pool with the kids, but it was cold and rainy. Apparently Mother Nature was in a bad mood. lol
Bob and the kids brought me breakfast in bed consisting of eggs and biscuits. The girls helped me eat it:) Then they did a craft and made Mother's Day cards.

I absolutely adore my amazing kids!!!! They bring the biggest smiles to my face and I just love to get hugs and kisses from them. They teach me so much and are truly a blessing in my life!!!! Being a mommy is the BEST thing in the world!!!!

Helmet head

Peyton won't take the helmet off. If anyone else dares to touch it she screams "my helmet!!!!" Her hair is soaking wet from wearing it as its plastic. I won't let her wear it at meals, but one day she did and it was hilarious. She just kept lifting up the mouth part and putting food in her mouth and then pulling it down to chew.

We blew the jumpolene up for the kids today. They had a ball in it, Peyton did not want to be bumped into though....the little princess.

Swim class

Spencer has started swim classes at the YMCA again this year. (with his teacher above) He really enjoys them and can swim like a fish. He is in the Ray/Starfish class that is the highest level for his age. When he is ready he will have to go into a class with 6 year olds. My main goal for was for him to be able to get to the side of the pool if he fell in. He has surpassed that and then some. He just LOVES to swim and would spend the whole summer in the pool if allowed.
I am so proud of my little shark as he calls himself.
His favorite part of going to the Y is the waterpark. They have a jungle gym in the water and a huge bucket that fills with water then dumps on the kids. He thinks that is hilarious!!

Swimming

We spent all morning out in the backyard. The kids had a blast in their little baby pool splashing and fighting over who's turn it was to hold the hose.
It was about 90 degrees and hot, I wanted to get in the baby pool too.
They had juice and popsicles and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.

T-Ball

Spencer has started t-ball at the YMCA. He does not want to wear his glove "its too hot Mommy!!" He just wants to hit the ball. His coach is great and I can't believe his patience with the kids.
Sydney has an arm on her too, she can throw the ball really far and with good aim.

Rats nest

Poor Sydney, she has hair just like Mommy. Check out the knots she has in the morning. I have some no more tangles spray that helps. She is great, she just sits and lets you comb it out. Occasionally you get an "ouch" from her, but overall she is very patient.
Good thing its not Peyton's hair. She freaks whenever you try to brush it even if there isn't any knots in it.

No more cast!!

Peyton got her cast off yesterday. We are so happy that she can finally play in the water and have a real bath!!
She now won't walk on it AGAIN. Her little ankle is really stiff and sore when she moves it. The doctor says it will take a week or so for her to get back to normal. We are back to "up me" and "no...WAIT!!!!!" Takes some coaxing to get her to walk and when she does its very cute. She holds her leg out and tries not to bend her ankle or knee when walking and now running.
She had an absolute ball in the tub tonight, she had missed it so much. She is usually the one that doesn't like it when anyone splashes and she was the instigator.
