Go Texan Day

Spencer's school had their Go Texan Day today. He just looked so cute all dressed up. He thought he was cool too.
They wanted volunteers to help with activities they had planned all morning and then with a big cowboy feast. I wasn't able to go as I would not have been ANY help with the three little ones tagging along. I am so sad I missed it.
Spencer said his teacher even brought her horse and rode around some barrels to show them in the playground.
He got chosen to stand and tell the horse "whoa" and make it stop.

Sorry I have not posted in a while. We have all been passing the stomach flu around to each other for weeks now. Not much to write when you are stuck in the house.

Basketball

Spencer started basketball today at the YMCA. What difference a year makes. He did NOT get the whole dribbling the ball thing last year at all, it was hilarious. He has it this year and is doing great. He really seemed to enjoy it. The girls have ballet at the same time so Bob chose to stay in basketball with Spencer. (big surprise there lol)
Had to include a picture of him on the way to the car as it was just cute.

Elmo

I took the kids to see Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows up today. They just loved it. Sydney wanted Zoe to come home with us so she could hug her. Sydney is mad in the group picture because I wanted to get a picture before I opened the cotton candy. What a mean Mommy I am. And yes that is a big bruise above her right eye from jumping in her bed when she is supposed to be sleeping. She fell right into her side rail.

Peyton insisted on wearing the glasses Spencer wore to his 100th day of school ALL day.
We had great seats too right on the floor. We went with our local multiples group, it was nice to see everyone again.
After the show I took everyone for a pizza lunch and then we spent over two hours in traffic trying to get home...gotta love Houston.

100th day

It was the 100th day of school today and they had the kids dress like old people and do crafts and projects to do with the number 100. Spencer got a ribbon because he could count to 100 by 1's, 5's and 10's, he is so smart.

I had to rush to get him ready this morning as I was working and we have to leave the house early to get everyone to their daycare and babysitter. He still managed to look pretty cute I think. I put baby powder in his hair to make it grey and put wrinkles on his face with grey eye liner and got some reading glasses and popped out the lenses. He wanted to wear a suit, but the pants were too short so he wore the jacket with suspenders and a cane. He looked like a rich old man his babysitter said.He was quite proud of how he looked too.

Yes, I know his hair is long and he needs a haircut...he was sick last week when everyone else went. lol

Ouch

The kids all went for their well kid check ups today. I always take them together and get it all over with in one visit.
They did really good until it was vaccination time. Spencer told me he was not going to cry and he was going to be brave. Well that only lasted until the needle peirced his skin. When it was all done he said to me " Mommy, I'm sorry I cried - it was just too hard not to!" That was just way to cute.
Spencer only got one needle, but the little ones got three each. Sydney was screaming "no no no" when they were going to stick the second one in. I felt so bad for them all. Caden was pulling up his pants as fast as I could pull them down so they couldn't stick his leg. Peyton was crying too so it was a VERY noisy room. They had two nurses come in and do it so the torture would not last as long. They stopped crying as soon as they left.
Then they ALL held their arms the entire time we walked to the car which took about 10 minutes. I wish I had my camera as it was just too cute.
They are all doing really well, here are their stats.

Spencer
47 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
44 1/4 pounds (50th percentile)
Peyton
41 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
39 pounds (85th percentile)
Sydney
41 inches (75th percentile)
34 pounds (50th percentile)
Caden
43 1/2 inches ( 95th percentile)
41 1/2 pounds (90th percentile) He gained a half a pound in a little over two weeks. He had lost weight when he had mono so he is definitley on the mend. All the chocolate pudding is working. lol

We took them to Chuck E Cheeses when we were all done for a treat, they love that place.
